Student Organization

Guest Speaker Series:
IDSO sponsors an ongoing Guest Speakers Series which allows students a chance to meet with and learn from some of the area's most accomplished design professionals. The Speaker Series also exposes students to the vast array of career opportunities available.

Community Service:
IDSO is involved in an ongoing campaign to keep resource material in our department's sample library up to date and well organized. IDSO members also maintain bulletin boards and project display areas throughout our classroom facilities. IDSO works with the Samford chapter of Habitat for Humanity each year to help build a home in the Birmingham area.

Field Trips:
IDSO regularly coordinates field trips to local architectural projects and design events. IDSO members also attend the monthly activites of the Birmingham Chapter of the International Interior Design Association.
