OBBSEPS Immerses 4th Graders in 3D Solar System 11 | 5 | 2008

Approximately thirty-five, fourth Grade Students from Green Valley Elementary, part of the Hoover City School System, arrived today at the OBB School of Education and Professional Studies for their first experience with Immersive 3D Learning using 3d HoloProjection™ from 3dh Communications.

Linda Brown and Haley Massey, their teachers and also Samford alumni, provided a lesson plan on the Solar System in conjunction with the 3D interactive Solar System model design and created by current Samford student David Rice and Samford alumnus Kyle Mykitta.  "It was a very successful day, and hopefully, each student was able to experience greater learning through this leading-edge technology that we hope will one day be available in all schools across the country," said Ed Landers, Director of the Media Center at OBB.
