One hundred and eighty-nine students from Jemison Elementary School, part of the Chilton County School system, spent the day at Samford University on their annual field trip. Each year, their second grade students spend the day on Samford's campus visiting the Planetarium and the OBB School of Education and Professional Studies. This year, the students were able to view the 3D solar system powered by 3dh Communications™ and then participate in educational activities about comets, stars, asteroids and planets. Forty graduate and undergraduate students assisted in the eight different sections, along with OBB educators' Karen Birkenfield, Michele Haralson, Amy Hoagland, Myrtis Johnson, David Little, and Media Center Director, Ed Landers.
