Interior Design Chair Jeannie Krumdieck recently won the grand prize at the 2007 National Residential Interior Design Contest. Before being named the grand prize recipient, she won the bath division of the competition with a project that exhibits “a very clever design,” according to judge Clinton Smith. Katie Abney of Southern Accents describes what makes the bath stand out is its "ability to capture an atmosphere that's as inviting as that of a living space."
The bath was designed by Krumdieck A + I Design, consisting of Jeannie, her husband Alex, project designer Ami Frenich, and associate architect Paul Callan. Krumdieck emphasized the importance that planning and cooperation played in her victory in the competition. “There are so many opportunities for things to fall through the cracks," she said. "Our philosophy is to truly listen to our clients. When a team of people are listening, [we] hear a lot more.”
